A resident of Middle Rumbuk, Daramdin constituency of West Sikkim, S/O of Late Mr. D.R Subba (ex-DFO) who was a renowned community activist.
Mr. Pobin Hang Subba is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology from Raffles University, Alwar Rajasthan (2022-2025), holds a degree in M.A. Sociology from Subharati University, Meerut (2019), a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) from Annamalai University (2017), and studied Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University (2006-2011), having completed his high school education at Namchi Public School in 2006.
His decision to leave his high-paying corporate job to join a Citizen Action Party in Sikkim reflects a significant personal commitment to serving his community and contributing to social welfare. His transition from the corporate world to political and social activism demonstrates a deep sense of civic responsibility and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the welfare and the broader society of Sikkim.
