Born into humble beginnings as the son of a farmer, I embarked on a journey that led me from the rustic landscapes of my upbringing to the corridors of political leadership. My educational journey began at Melli Gumpa Secondary School, where I laid the foundation of my academic pursuits. It was here that the values of hard work, perseverance, and empathy were instilled in me, values that would shape my future endeavors.
Continuing my education at Sadam Senior Secondary School, I completed my schooling up to class 12, where I honed my skills and developed a keen sense of responsibility towards my community. Determined to pursue higher education, I enrolled at Government Degree College in Gangtok for my graduation. However, my passion for serving society compelled me to leave college prematurely, recognizing that the call to action was too urgent to delay.
Stepping into the realm of grassroots governance, I began my political career at the panchayat level. It was here, amidst the challenges and aspirations of my fellow villagers, that I discovered my true calling. Through dedicated efforts and unwavering commitment, I transformed our local panchayat into a national award-winning entity, recognized for its exemplary service and innovative solutions to community problems.
Driven by a visionary outlook and a deep-seated desire to effect positive change, I have garnered widespread acceptance and trust among the people. My leadership is defined by a holistic vision for development, one that encompasses the aspirations of every citizen, irrespective of their background or status. My approach is inclusive and participatory, rooted in the belief that true progress can only be achieved through collective action and collaboration.
As the Chief Minister candidate for the 2024 Assembly Election representing the Citizen Action Party, I bring with me a wealth of experience, a proven track record of success, and a relentless commitment to serving the people. My candidacy is not merely a bid for power, but a solemn promise to uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and transparency in governance.
